Visible, fast, reliable.
My name is Marcel Heinke. I develop professional websites and custom digital solutions for businesses, freelancers, and organizations – combining modern design and clean code with a focus on performance, data privacy, and accessibility.
Hello, I am Marcel Heinke.
I build websites. One thing in particular helps me with that: I have known the craft behind it for many years.
My professional journey began in the early 2000s with an apprenticeship as a media designer in a printing shop. That is where I learned what matters when it comes to layout, typography, and colors. That knowledge stays with me to this day.
I have been self-employed since 2007, starting alongside my studies. For many years, I worked primarily as a freelancer for agencies, implementing numerous web projects ranging from smaller websites to complex, demanding applications.
An insight into my previous work can be found on zwoelfgrad.com.
Originally, I am from Hohen Neuendorf. Earlier this year, my partner and I moved back from Berlin to the surrounding countryside—she works as an equine veterinarian, and we now live in Oberkrämer.
I know the region and want to put my experience to work locally. That is why I primarily work with local businesses, tradespeople, service providers, and associations looking to create a new web presence or revamp an existing one.
For me, it is not about squeezing every last trick out of a website. Above all, a good website should fit the business behind it. It should be understandable, look great, and fulfill its purpose.
If you are thinking about a new website or want to update your existing one, feel free to get in touch for an informal chat.
A good website is not a digital dust-catcher, but a tool that makes work easier.
Many websites leave potential untapped. I develop websites that do more – with well-thought-out features, clear structures, and fast loading times.
You have a direct contact person: me. From start to finish.

An online project often sounds more complicated than it actually is. To allow you to focus on your day-to-day business, the process is structured and straightforward:
You don’t need to worry about a thing – I will guide you every step of the way, from the initial idea to a successful launch.
No. A rough idea is completely sufficient for the beginning. You don’t need to know exactly what your website should look like or be structured like yet.
Before our first conversation, use my configurator. It guides you step by step through the most important questions about your project, the desired content, and the scope of the website. This way, I can already get a good picture of what you need before our first conversation.
In our personal conversation, we’ll then clarify together which information is important, how the website can be structured, and what makes sense for your project. You don’t need any technical knowledge for this.
You don’t need to bring a finished concept – I will support you right from the start in structuring your content effectively.
To ensure your new website leaves a great impression, we will elevate your media to a professional level together:
You simply provide what you have – I take care of the fine-tuning and technical preparation.
A new website creates the optimal technical and content foundation to be easily found on Google.
No one can legitimately guarantee a #1 ranking – that depends heavily on your competition, region, and search terms. What I do guarantee is setting up the best possible starting point for you:
My goal is a website that convinces your visitors and comes with all technical prerequisites to succeed on Google in the long run.
A great website can be many things: a compelling presence, a central hub for information, or a practical tool that simplifies your daily tasks.
The key is what you actually need. And sometimes, a simple website can deliver so much more when you think beyond the conventional scope.
In short: A great website doesn’t need to do everything. It needs to do the right things – and push boundaries where standard solutions reach their limits.
The process is divided step by step into getting to know each other, joint planning, technical implementation, and final review.
We start with a short introductory call. This is about what you do, what goals you have with your website, and who you want to reach.
We then plan the structure and content of the website together. I take care of design and technical implementation and keep you informed throughout the project about the next steps.
Before the website goes live, you can review everything carefully and make any changes you’d like.
The implementation of a website typically takes about three to eight weeks. The exact timeframe depends on the scope of the project and what content is already available.
Before we start, I’ll discuss the expected timeline with you and let you know how busy I currently am. This way, you’ll know from the beginning approximately when you can expect your finished website.
Your main task is limited to providing content and giving regular feedback.
I handle all the planning, design, and technical implementation. For the result to fit you perfectly, your input is important at two points:
Yes. A website develops step by step, so feedback is explicitly planned in.
Minor adjustments to texts, images, or details are part of development. If larger changes affect the project’s scope, we discuss this transparently beforehand, without surprises.
Only when you give the okay. Before publication, we review together to ensure that content, design, and functions are correct.
I then take care of the publication and ensure that your website is accessible under your domain.
No, you retain full control and are not tied to me or a closed website builder system.
It’s important to me that you remain free to decide how and with whom you want to operate your website after completion. Unlike website builders such as Wix, your website is not locked into a specific platform.
If you want to switch to a different provider or developer later, I’ll support the transition and provide all necessary project files.
I choose the most suitable solution for each project rather than a blanket standard system.
WordPress is not the right foundation for websites I implement. If a website doesn’t need a CMS at all, I use Astro. When content should be managed independently, I use a suitable, lightweight Headless CMS. For larger and more complex websites, I use Drupal.
Additional features are added to WordPress through plugins and extensions of varying quality. These create dependencies on each other and must be regularly updated and maintained to prevent security risks.
I therefore don’t choose one system for every project, but the solution that fits each specific need. This keeps the technical foundation as simple as possible while still providing everything the website needs.
Yes, all websites are implemented using the “Responsive Design” principle and optimized for all screen sizes.
More than half of all website visits today happen on mobile devices. I design and develop your website so that texts, images, menus, and buttons are perfectly readable and easy to use on smartphones, tablets, and large desktop monitors.
I design websites to be privacy-conscious from the ground up, keeping all applicable data protection regulations in mind.
Many websites integrate external services even though they aren’t actually needed for the core purpose. A common example is Google Analytics: extensive tracking is frequently deployed when all that is really wanted is a basic overview of visitor numbers. For simple statistics like these, I use Umami, a lean and privacy-friendly alternative.
I don’t see data protection as an annoying chore, but as an essential part of a good website. That is why I aim to avoid unnecessary data processing and external dependencies right from the start. When a website is built cleanly and with privacy in mind, a lot of things become much more straightforward to implement.
Yes, barrier-free standards are integrated into development from the start.
With legislation like the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), digital accessibility is no longer just a quality feature but increasingly a legal requirement. Violations of these requirements can result in warnings.
I therefore pay attention to good contrast, clear structure, scalability, and keyboard operability during implementation. This protects you from legal risks, makes your website accessible to everyone, and at the same time brings benefits with search engines like Google.
Because you should only pay for work that’s actually done.
I’m not a fan of rigid maintenance contracts where fixed costs accumulate regardless of whether anything actually needs to be done.
If I host your website, a fair-use maintenance is therefore included in the hosting. Small changes to phone numbers, texts, or images are covered for up to about 30 minutes per month. This way, we don’t need a separate order or invoice for every small adjustment.
It’s important to me that your website stays current after completion and that you’re satisfied with it. We discuss larger changes or further developments beforehand and bill them according to effort.
If you host your website yourself, you can also engage me for changes or support as needed. You don’t need to sign a maintenance contract for that.
Yes. You’re free to decide whether you handle hosting yourself or have the website run through me.
Yes. In most cases, you can continue using your existing domain and email addresses as normal.
If a website already exists, I’ll ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. I make sure that existing email addresses and your domain’s accessibility are preserved.
The agreed price includes planning, design and technical implementation of your website, as well as coordination of content and standard adjustments during the project.
It’s important to me that you’re satisfied with the result. That’s why you can review drafts and content at your leisure and request changes. Minor adjustments are naturally part of implementation.
If larger changes to the original scope emerge during the project, we discuss this together beforehand. This way, you’ll always know if additional costs might occur.
Only after completion and your explicit approval.
You can review the website carefully before the final invoice is issued. If a project turns out to be significantly larger, we’ll discuss an appropriate payment arrangement (e.g., deposit) beforehand together.
Ongoing costs are incurred for technical operations (hosting & domain) and external services such as email accounts.
A modern website requires continuous maintenance in the background to remain secure and fast:
Important: I don’t provide email accounts. Your emails run flexibly and independently through your preferred provider (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or your domain provider).
No. The agreed price is transparent and binding.
You know exactly before the project starts what services are included and what the website will cost. If additional requests arise during the project, we discuss the financial implications beforehand. No costs occur without your prior consent.
Small content adjustments are included in hosting – larger expansions or technical changes are billed transparently according to effort.
Before more extensive work begins, I estimate the effort so you have full cost certainty.
Send me a message or give me a call. We'll clarify requirements, feasibility, and the appropriate framework completely without obligation.
If you already have concrete ideas, the best way is to use the directly. This saves time and provides me with all key details right away.
